It will be biking weather again soon, right?

Even though it is snowing right now, it was a beautiful warm day. Which made me think of biking, which made me think of the Netherlands, which made me go back thru some stunning images I shot last summer in Utrecht. You can see a couple of posts with more Dutch images right here.

Dutch Bridal Photo Shoot!

This photo shoot was an international collaboration. From Dutch fashion designer, Marloes Blaas, to a "Made in America" Men's Tie Company, Pierrepont Hicks, to a local vintage hairpiece designer, Dee Dredge. Our models, Jaleesa Koelen and Remco Verveer and hair & makeup artist Amanda van Dijk were out of this world fabulous. And it was all pulled together by stylist Malou de Bruin.
On Location: Utrecht, Netherlands

Dutch Days!

I have to say that even though I have been to many cities in the Netherlands before, I have never had an opportunity to really live in one city for an extended period of time. Usually our holidays consist of a few days here, a few days there. So when I got a chance to live in Utrecht this summer for a month, I jumped on board (or should I say on my two wheels)and went! Here are just a few images that I put together to share.

What Dutch city wouldn't be complete without canals.

Our delightful flat! (It overlooked the Oudegracht; great for people watching)

What a better way to do deliveries! Or possibly carry my camera gear.

Fries with Mayo and a beer. (I won't say how many of each I had)

You Peugeot owners should love this one!

My mode of transportation for four weeks.

My dreams come true...wheels of cheese.

How could I not resist 500 grams of Gouda?

I'm getting some of these to wear to weddings.

There are still working windmills in the Netherlands. This one ground its own flour.

Annika

Ok. OK. I admit it. I can't help it. I love bikes. I love cameras. And I love it when we can incorporate them in photographs. I have been lucky enough to photograph Miss Annika many times. She is a natural in front of the camera and this session proved to be no different. Even though we were both being attacked by mosquitos, we powered thru and came up with these rockin' images. Great Job, Annika!

Julia + Phillip

I had the extreme honor of being asked to be the second photographer at a wedding last weekend. My friend and rock-star photographer, Kristie Anderson, of KEA Photography needed help and I was delighted to be a part of the day. Julia was simply stunning! She and Phil had planned a fabulous day. In the midst we dodged raindrops, heavy traffic, and an almost tornado, but everything was perfect. Congratulations!

A Post Script: The hair and make-up was executed (beautifully) by my favorite gals at Smart and Chic Bride!

Natalie + Dave = Engagement

Who does a photographer hire to photograph her wedding? Luckily, in my case, it's me! Natalie is the owner of Natalie Finazzo Photography and looked me up when she and Dave were making wedding plans. We enjoy the same style and passion for great images. So when talk came around to engagement pictures, Natalie and I had quite a game plan in mind. Three locations, four outfit changes, and multiple props. Dave was a trooper; going along with whatever notion two photographers had in mind for him. I can't wait for the wedding day!

Johanna + Jonathan

Welcome to a quick sneek peek from the wedding of J Squared! I have to tell everyone that I am simply in love with photographing this couple. And they seem delighted to have me follow them around with a camera. So, Johanna, when you get that extra room in LA, let me know and I'm moving in as your personal papparazzi. Enjoy these! There are many, many more to share soon.
