Minneapolis Winter Engagement Session!

Too cold for an outdoor engagement photo session?? Not in Minneapolis! A sneak peek from Rachel and Britton's engagement session. We met down at the St. Anthony/Main Street area. (Love the views of the city in the background.) These guys were troopers! As temps hovered around 20 degrees, they sure didn't show it if they felt chilly. It's always easier if you have someone to snuggle with! ♥

"Psst! Love Your Shoes!" // Minneapolis Wedding Photography

A bride's shoes, just like the dress she picks, are a part of the whole look and style of the wedding day. I eagerly look forward to see what fun, beautiful shoes will complete my bride's look and how we will incorporate the shoes into some pictures! Below are some shoe images from my past weddings. I love me some sparkle!

Los Angeles // Travel Photography

It was definitely time for a warm up! We just spent three weeks in Los Angeles. The weather was perfect. Biking on the beach in Santa Monica. Taco trucks everywhere. Exploring Abbot Kinney in Venice. Finally going up to Griffith Observatory. Checking out Los Feliz. And we did a little work in NoHo for Tremendous Entertainment. Phew. Below are just a few images I photographed while we bounced around. Enjoy! You can also see more images that I took with my iphone on my Instagram account. @amberfotos

Rewind Friday: Cheryl and Matt's Northern Minnesotan Wedding

I love going back thru my files and getting ready for the next wedding season. I came across this lovely wedding of Cheryl and Matt. I look at these images and think I must have been transported to some small eastern coastal town. But, in fact, their wedding was in northern Minnesota in Grand Marais. The guests were treated to rooms on Lake Superior at East Bay Suites. You can walk right over the sand to the water. The ceremony was a delightful walk thru the trail past the Coast Guard station out to the rocks of Artist's Point. Gorgeous! I loved the reception. A gondola ride took the guests right up the mountain to the lodge at the top of Lutsen Mountain. Spectacular view!
